NOAA Predicts Above-Normal Hurricane Season: More Travelers Will Seek Trip Insurance, Data Shows

Warwick, RI — ​Forecasters at NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center say it may be an above-normal hurricane season for the Atlantic. As the 2017 hurricane season nears, licensed travel insurance agents at InsureMyTrip also expect a jump in call volume from travelers seeking insurance protection. Agents say the top concern of summer travelers is bad weather affecting travel plans. Hurricane season officially runs June 1 through November 30.
