(DES MOINES) – Today at the Administration’s weekly press conference, Gov. Terry Branstad, Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds, and State Public Defender Adam Gregg announced that the State of Iowa was recently awarded $632,765 in federal grant money to support the work of the Wrongful Conviction Division in the Office of the State Public Defender.

Kim Reynolds today announced a new state website that shows how prepared students are for success in postsecondary education and training upon graduation from public high schools in Iowa. Lt. Gov. Reynolds was joined by Ryan Wise, director of the Iowa Department of Education and D.T. Magee, Superintendent of the Norwalk Community School District at the Administration’s weekly press conference.

(DES MOINES) – Gov. Terry E. Branstad today appointed Julie A. Schumacher as judge to the 3B Judicial District. Schumacher was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Mary Sokolovske.
