			<description>I really like Mr. Carmody's ideas.

Being a native of the area, and have just recently moved back.  I can see the beauty of the Mark Twain idea.  And the regional resistance to it.

I think at the heart of Mr. Carmody's idea, is to make &quot;Mark Twain&quot; the Athens of the Mid-West.  This is a great idea to expanding and growing the Mark Twain area.

All we need is someone to pickup Mr. Carmody's baton. - srmcatee</description>

			<description>Wow.  Shows just how valuable Carmody was to the growth of the Rock Island area.  It all starts with vision and great ideas and he had them both.

It would be interesting (now that Dan is out of the community and doesn't need to worry about being politically correct) to have him write a guest article for the Reader.  I for one would love to hear what he had to say. - jholstein</description>
