Wow! You must not have seen the same show that I did. First of all, let's discuss the lack of professionalism. Almost all the actors were too old for their parts (not to mention, their headshots were ten years old) and didn't fit the character types. Their singing and acting was definately not at the professional level-it was worse than most community theatre shows. I have a hard time respecting a director who, first of all, plays the lead in his shows, and second, brings all of his thirty-plus year old actor friends with him to a 'professional theatre.' Although Luff was very attractive and did fit the part of Sarah Brown, her jumping from chest to head voice was like nails on a chalkboard, and her attemp at an operatic note in "Sit Down, Your Rockin' the Boat" sounded extremely strained. Although Allmand's acting and accent as Adelaide were 'ok,' her age and looks did not fit the part. All in all, Guys and Dolls was a big dissapointment. - Dissapointing!
