Anonymous,

You're allowed to have an opinion, but if you want it to be respected or even taken seriously, then you may want to try truthfully filling in the portion of the Write Comment section that says, "Name."

I was honored to have my name next to Maggie's in Mike's theatre review for the year and know first hand not only how talented she is, but also what a nice person she is as well. If she's cast in a show or used in a photo shoot or whatever, it's because she's earned it with her talent and great personality.

Did you ever even stop to think that maybe Mike asked a number of actresses to do the shoot and maybe Maggie was the only one available? Nope. Instead, it's easier to just publicly jump to a baseless conclusion and then hide behind an 'Anonymous' moniker to make yourself feel better.

We're all really looking forward to your next weak accusation after the Prenzie's "Taming of the Shrew" comes out in March. The first shot you fired following Othello was tolerable, but this continued personal vendetta you've chosen to undertake against Maggie (and the Prenzie's) - which no one is apparently backing you on, by the way, as your silent voice is the only one to come forward - is getting old.

Respectfully, unless you're willing to own up to it & actually put a name to your accusations, then stop this pathetic attempt to draw attention to yourself.

Oh, and I was glad to see Mike give some love to the much under-appreciated The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Keep up the good work. :) - Jeff De Leon

Cody. Yes. It is just you. Comment section comments are never about the article. What is hilarious (laughably hilarious even) is that Maggie has gotten modeling offers because of that picture. Hoo hah! Take thatAnonymous. - Jeremy

Is it just me, or is it laughably hilarious that a discussion for an article on the past year's movies has turned into conspiracy theories about the article's author and the staff shot taken...

Seriously, people. It's a picture and an article. - Cody

Why are you all so worried about the Prenzies? Maggie's pregnant!

Just kidding. But seriously, she's a beautiful girl and a strong actress so it's not very hard to believe in the end that she would get called to do the shoot.

On a side note: I'm pretty, I work with the Prenzies, and I work at the Reader. Explain that one.

In regards to my employment at the Reader in heavy-handed correlation with Mike's love for a theatre troupe I love just as vehemently, I would appreciate it if those inclined to such thinking would cease those thoughts.

The Prenzies were sucessful YEARS before I started working here, and I'm an artist so I have to make money somehow, right? Why not work for the most relevant print vehicle for culture in this town? Especially in terms of theatre arts?

I was attracted to both because my sensibilities are what they are, and I respect both companies entirely for what they are: complete and separate entities in this community dedicated to producing material that hearkens higher (and often entertaining) thought. - Stephanie Burrough

Frankly, I don't understand the cynicism at all. Is Mike not allowed to genuinely like a theater company? Is Maggie symbolic of nothing other than a theater company that she works for (not to mention that "fits the part" for that picture so why not have her on the cover?)? Why is this a big deal in any way?

It is all well and good to dislike the Prenzie Players (though, full disclosure, I think they are fantastic), but are you accusing Mike Schultz of some grand QC-wide theater conspiracy? By what means? Giving good and well-deserved reviews? Horror of horrors!!! I am shocked and appalled at such brazen manipulation of the general populace!

See, now you've even made me sarcastic and bitter... ;) - Rob Elfline

If it's true that Mike's in bed with Prenzie and also it's also true that you sleep with all of your partner's former partners, than in my case alone he's slept with Genisius Guild, New Grounds and Richmond Hill.
That fella sure gets around. ;) - Matt Moody

I think what Anonymous from Jan. 3 doesn't realize is that the Prenzie group is full of talented, intelligent and friendly people. If Anonymous has ever made a genuine effort to meet them, they'd realize that.

(On a side note, I attended Prenzie's fundraising gala last night...what a cool event! Way to go Prenzies! But...now that I think of it...Mike Schulz was there too! Oh no! Anonymous is right! Mike Schulz is in bed with the Prenzie Players! Call the Theatre Police!)

Perhaps Anonymous is just jealous that they weren't picked for the cover shoot? Keep your hopes up, Anonymous, your day will come! - Tyson D

I see Mike Schulz is in bed with the Prenzie Players. Not only do two of them work at the Reader, but now Maggie Woolley is a cover-girl. Out of all the pretty girls out in the QC, you choose a Prenzie. Nice. - anonymous
