I'm sorry but you list the top 3 pizza places as Harris, Happy Joes, and Wise Guys, do you have no sense of taste at all. Harris I can see, but only because it's a rip off of the original Frank's Pizza. The fact that Frank's isn't even in the top three tells me one of two things: 1) you did not research or taste all of the Quad Cities style pizza places or 2) you have absolutely no sense of taste at all. Either way, I, as well as many others I'm sure, am sorely disappointed that Frank's is not in the top 3. - Anonymous Jones

@Larry Barnett-
I stand by the words that I have chosen to write to describe my opinion of Channel 6. I have a Master's degree in English, and I find those words to be completely appropriate for my post. My post was not filled with foul language, nor was it filled with obscenities; it was grammatically and situationally correct. If you would prefer other words, then how about this:
The newscasts on channel 6 are not very good. The "Hello Quad Cities" segment at the end is incredibly moronic (when it features adults).
The fact that you felt the need to make a declarative statement about the word choice of a total stranger who was expressing their opinion says a lot about you. Your actions were anything BUT genteel. - SL

Obviously, there are as many opinions as there are opiners. And, not one is right or wrong; they're opinions. But it would be nice if everyone expressing an opinion would do so in a genteel fashion, rather than using insults such as "stinks" and "stupid". The person who must use such terms in order to express himself (or herself) reveals much about himself (or herself). - Larry Barnett

The best new restaurant in 2009--Cafe Fresh Express...
I originally loved this place, until I learned what I was really spending my hard-earned money on. The article says that the soup is "Homemade." Not the case. I saw it while wedding shopping at TPC, it comes premade, frozen in a bag. They actually serve the exact same soup at Hungry Hobo. I had the pleasure of meeting some employees, and I must say that I was shocked to learn that most of this "Fresh" restaurants products are premade, frozen products purchased from Sam's Club. I, for one, will not return to a restaurant and spend a large amount of money for a meal that has only been reheated. So, shop wisely consumers...Know what you are paying for may be Sam's Club frozen burger patties. - Joe

I'm sorry, but channel 6 news stinks. The news reporters are very unprofessional and seem like total amateurs. They look and sound like the type of newscasters you would expect to see on public access tv. They are constantly mispronouncing and misreading things (Marcia Lense-I'm especially talking to you), and some of the stories they choose to cover over some of the stories they leave out have me wondering why. Their "Hello Quad Cities" segment at the end of their newscast is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Do we really need to hear "hello Quad Cities" from 15 adults lined up in a row? Really?

And Olive Garden is about as Italian as Taco Bell is Mexican. - sl

Consider yourself lucky QC. The woman baking the pastries is from Muscatine and not long ago had a great little restaurant here. We all know what the economy has done to businesses, so I hope for continued success to her and Gansons. - Muscatine

What about Kia Carter??? She is so funny on the weekend reports. My husband and I tune in just to hear her laugh and joke with fellow anchors. She is the best. Love James Z as well. He makes us laugh too. - just an Iowa girl

Linda, I totally agree with you about Ganson's. My husband and I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Never had a bad meal yet. Their new breakfast menu is to die for. Soups are delicious, along with the baked items. They should have won for best bakery also! We also enjoy how friendly the owner and staff are. Feels like going home when you eat their! - Sara Flaherty

I usually disagree with most of these winners year after year. I always wonder WHO is voting on these????
But I finally agree on something - Good Morning Quad Cities IS by far the best local morning television program. Jim and Julie are a great pair! - TV fan
