below is a letter I have been trying to get into the QC Times. I can't get it short enough to fit the tiny 250 word minumum as there is just too much. This is a very short version of a letter I am trying to get out there. The amount of police action taken against me and my sister on March 16th was ridiculous and incompetent, and wasted A LOT of taxpayer money. I would like to write a full length version for a guest editorial if possible. If I was just plain angry, I would forget about it. But this has been a travesty of a police action and the media treated us like Druglords. Please write me at phatw@yahoo.com. Thank you.

My name is Pat Willis (college education- English) and my sister’s house that I have been staying at for 3 months got raided by the Davenport Police on March 16th. We have been splashed across the news like Miami Vice drug kingpins. While people make their hurtful judgments, without any real info, let me give you some. First, they were looking for someone else and we got caught in the net. They didn't even know I was there. But they did find a whopping 3/8's of an ounce of pot. Oh Dear! That, a bong and two pipes. Wow. This was NOT what they were looking for, they even said so. Also found but not mine were some scales. Now I ask you, how much tax payer money did it take to reel in this big score?! $20,000? 25,0000? The city spent huge money and they didn't even know that their target NEVER stays there?! He was obviously trying to use my sister and her house. I knew he was a rotten apple and didn't speak to him much. So! NO TARGET, NO BIG DRUG SCORE, scared the daylights out of two kids, risking possible injury or accidental death, and even more screw ups than I can speak of yet. Is this the best detective work we can get for our dollar? YOUR dollar? They were nice. They knew we weren't who they wanted and were basically harmless. They told me I would be "pleasantly surprised" at how our cooperation would help our situation. I hope so. Please Quad Cities! Find out more before you so harshly judge. We are good people that got taken down by excessive police action. This DOES happen! I hope they get him as he has ruined my life. You may disagree with our lifestyle, but you can't disagree that it was a lot of money for very little in return. It's NOT RIGHT. Please Davenport, make it right!

thank you... - Pat Willis

Citizens, I am Cecil James Roth (nickname: ProSeParty), a citizen’s rights activist, and my motto is: Honesty, Open minds and Citizens' rights FIRST. I information picket for citizens' rights, and against a dishonest, corrupt and/or incompetent representatives in the government, justice & legal systems, fourth estate (mainstream news media), some churches, etc. * If I were running for President of the United States: I would make it my number one promise to honor my oath, protect the rights of all citizens, protect consumers, protect the Earth, enforce the legal laws of the land, find a non-bias system to listen to citizens, and find the most unbiased (or least bias) source possible to find Cabinet candidates and coworkers, with intelligence, honesty and patriotism as required qualities, because I must trust them to follow their advice.

Kathleen, great article. Why is it that I can find more substance and logic in a single Reader issue than I can in a year's worth of QC Times editorials? Keep up the good work.
