In an interview I recently heard, he explained how he was practicing at least 8 hours a day, starting at 4 am, then during lunch hour at school, then at home after school. This kid has incredible natural talent, but he's also put in the time and been extremely disciplined in how he went about practicing. He's convinced me that THAT is the secret to being a great musician - devotion to an abundance of hours of disciplined practice. I hope he does manage to avoid arrogance and all the other temptations that are waiting for him as he gets a little further on his path.
