No adult has ever walked out of their doctor's office with a prescription for the fluoride drug because it is deadly poison and the body has no known use for it. It is never included in any multi-vitamin formulation. Drinking it to prevent tooth decay is as foolish as drinking sunscreen to prevent sunburn. Every fluoride toothpaste tube carries the warning "if swallowed, call a poison control center immediately." I'm old enough to remember the 50's when the opposition was from the John Birchers, calling it a communist plot. It is also interesting that some towns are stopping fluoridation while Portland, Oregon has just decided to introduce fluoridation for the first time, citing tooth decay problems among Oregonians. I don't really have strong feelings one way or the other, but I would be skeptical f the objections arise from Bircher or Bachmann ("some lady told me that flu vaccinations caused autism in her son") type of thinking.
