			<title>Ineffective and dangerous to health</title>
			<link>http://www.rcreader.com/commentary/tables-turning-on-fluoridation-debate/#comment-5197</link>
			<description>Fluoride is neither a nutrient nor essential for healthy teeth. No adult has ever walked out of their doctor's office with a prescription for the fluoride drug because it is deadly poison and the body has no known use for it. It is never included in any multi-vitamin formulation. Drinking it to prevent tooth decay is as foolish as drinking sunscreen to prevent sunburn. Every fluoride toothpaste tube carries the warning &quot;if swallowed, call a poison control center immediately.&quot;

As a top scientist and the premier international authority on fluoride, Dr. Paul Connett's lists in his most recent book over 1200 studies (80 pages) and sound scientific reasoning showing the ineffectiveness and dangers to health including cancer, thyroid &amp; pineal gland damage, broken hips from brittle bones, lowered IQ, kidney disease, arthritis and other serious health problems.

			<title>Flouridation debate</title>
			<link>http://www.rcreader.com/commentary/tables-turning-on-fluoridation-debate/#comment-5194</link>
			<description>It was interesting to read about the apparent new interest in de-fluoridating the water supply. I'm old enough to remember the 50's when the opposition was from the John Birchers, calling it a communist plot.

It is also interesting that some towns are stopping fluoridation while Portland, Oregon has just decided to introduce fluoridation for the first time, citing tooth decay problems among Oregonians.

I don't really have strong feelings one way or the other, but I would be skeptical f the objections arise from Bircher or Bachmann (&quot;some lady told me that flu vaccinations caused autism in her son&quot;) type of thinking.

Are there unbiased, peer reviewed studies that offer guidance one way or the other? - Jaia</description>
