An early pioneer of the 1960s' British Invasion and a bona-fide rock-and-roll legend plays Davenport's Redstone Room on July 20, with the venue hosting the area arrival of singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Denny Laine, the 74-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee who co-founded The Moody Blues and the Paul McCartney-led outfit Wings.

On July 21, a quartet of gifted musicians serve as the latest guests in Polyrhythms' Third Sunday Jazz Workshop and Matinée Series, with Davenport's Redstone Room hosting an evening of jazz originals and standards with the 3 Dawgs & a Bone ensemble of Scott Barnum on bass, Jim Dreier on drums, Steve Grismore on guitar, and Rich Medd on bone – trombone, that is.

Touring in support of his 2019 album Survivor Blues, a release that Rock and Blues Muse said “features formidable versions of hidden gems by a blues master backed by his masterful band,” the legendary blues vocalist/guitarist Walter Trout takes the stage at Davenport's Redstone Room on July 12, his concert sure to demonstrate why Blues Rock Review calls him “one of blues' strongest active musicians” with “a stunning amount of material.”

Sessa, July 13

Transfixing Brazilian singer/songwriter Sessa brings his beautiful, tropicália-informed music to the Rozz-Tox stage on July 13.

Performing chart-topping grunge classics such as “Heart-Shaped Box,” “About a Girl,” “You Know You're Right,” and the iconic “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” the tribute artists of The Nirvana Experience take the stage at Davenport's Rhythm City Casino Resort Event Center on July 13, delivering a night of thrilling vocal and instrumental accuracy packed with hits from the Seattle band's albums Bleach, In Utero, and the '90s seminal Nevermind.

Two flavors of beat-heavy, exploratory soul/R&B come to Davenport's Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel on July 16 in the form of the Austin-based bands Black Pumas and Los Coast.

Kedr Livanskiy brings her brand of dreamy dance-pop and dense, club-ready production born in the Russian underground to Rozz-Tox on July 3.

The formidable talents of Ronnie Baker Brooks, Samantha Fish, Victor Wainwright, Tab Benoit, and many others will be showcased when the Mississippi Valley Blues Society hosts the 2019 Mississippi Valley Blues Festival in East Moline venue Murphy Park at The Bend, the hotly anticipated July 5 and 6 event boasting exhilarating sets with national, regional, and local blues artists on two outdoor stages, plus interactive presentations for kids in the Blues Society's popular BlueSKool program.

Guitarist, oud player, and in-demand collaborator of the Portland experimental scene Derek Monypeny plays at Rock Island's Rozz-Tox on July 5.
