SPRINGFIELD, Mo.—Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World Tips presents free, seasonal how-to tips from professional fishing and hunting experts.  Each weekly tip offers practical advice to improve your skills.

Tips offered for December include:

• As the temperature drops and cold sets in crappies know where to hide.  Get expert advice on the best places to find crappies this season from Stacey King, member of the Bass Pro Shops National Fishing team.

• Bill Dance, host of “Bill Dance Fishing” knows how to catch big catfish even in the winter months and shares some of his secrets.

• Lake not ice-covered, or not yet anyway?  Then there is still time to fish like a pro for some quality winter bass.  Kevin VanDam, member of the Bass Pro Shops National Fishing team gives specific ideas on how to reel in a big one.

• Deer hunting techniques change with animal's seasonal patterns. Scouting known food plots and heavy cover are some of the December deer hunting tips shared by RedHead© Pro Hunting team member Jim Ryan.

• Backpacking in the winter can offer hunters insight on how animals travel and behave in the area during the cold months.  Larry Whiteley, host of the award-winning Outdoor World Radio show, offers tips on how to use the unique insight winter backpacking offers.
