ACT-SO identifies student's unique talents, provides them with mentoring and coaching opportunities to perfect their talents and skills. It. allows them to test their skills against their peers in local and national competitions. Sponsored by the Davenport NAACP Branch with an objective to recruit, stimulate, improve and encourage high academic and cultural achievement among African-American high school students, allowing each person to showcase their talent.
