(DES MOINES) – Gov. Terry E. Branstad today denied the following applications for commutation: Nikkolas Kion Kemp, age 29, committed his crime on November 19, 2001 in Polk County. He is currently serving a sentence for first-degree robbery. DeMarcus Montrell McGee, age 33, committed his crimes on January 22, 1998 in Black Hawk County. He is currently serving a sentence for first-degree robbery. Andrew Lee Stephens, age 30, committed his crime on May 12, 2003 in Black Hawk County. He is currently serving a sentence for first-degree robbery. Evelyn Lou Tangie, age 67, committed her crime on July 27, 1996 in Wapello County. She is currently serving a sentence for murder second-degree. # # #
