NAMI Scott County (National Alliance on Mental Illness) invites family members who have mental illness in the family to attend a 12 week series of education classes beginning Wednesday, February 14th.
The signature NAMI Family-to-Family education course is structured to help family members to better understand and support their ill relative while maintaining their own well being. The course is taught by a team of trained volunteer family members who have first hand knowledge of having a loved one with mental illness in the family. There is no cost to participate, but registration is required. More than 100,000 family members have completed this course in the US and Canada. To register, call Scott Community College at 441-4100. For more information about NAMI Scott County, call 1-888-336-3907 or go www.namiscottcounty.org.
