In past Octobers over the years, the professional dancers of Ballet Quad Cities have treated audiences to different takes on Dracula, a disco-themed Halloween party, and even, in 2015, an original murder mystery. But the company's fans will be getting an entire smorgasbord of hauntingly beautiful vignettes in this year's Ghost Stories, with the menu for the October 13 and 14 performances at Moline's Spotlight Theatre including werewolves, spirits, a famous horseman without a head, and bewitching women whose own menu consists of human flesh. Yes, it's suitable for kids.

Their scheduled mixed martial arts clash fueled by personal animosity and stark ideological differences, the Quad Cities' own Pat "The Croation Sensation" Miletich and Mike "The Truth" Jackson will bring their "Bad Blood" showdown to Davenport's RiverCenter on October 13 and 14, the two-night Caged Aggression XXXVI event promising to be a fight for the ages, pitting skill against youth, experience against speed, and conservative views against liberally minded agenda.

A fast-paced romp through the most beloved and classic works of one of history's most prolific authors of children's literature, the one-man show The Magic of Seuss will take place at Davenport's German American Heritage Center on October 17, with favorite tales and rhymes coming to life through the gifts of Los Angeles-based professional entertainer Duffy Hudson.
