NDK

NDK turned to Hip-Hop when he was 16, writing "songs" in multiple notebooks as a therpeutic method to get through the strains of highschool. " I didn't Like Rap at the time, what i heard on the radio had potential but no substance i felt that i could make sumthing of it" Having A troubled youth, includin multiple suspenions from school, trouble with police, and un-certainty at home, NDK was givin an ultimatum, Shape Up or Be permantly removed from society until he did. NDK Chose to.. on the outer layer.. shape up.. but on the inside The same troubled youth remained. As he continued to write.. he improved and decided to try and make audio tracks of his writings with the Computer was not used to hearing these said aloud, so his flow wasnt there, even though they've been said in his head over and over again, while sitting in a empty hallway at his school. But with practice a sound became apparent. He Touched multiple subjects, Religion, Relationships, Government, and most importantly.. tried to discover what made himself tick NDK's long time friend Kontroversy had also turned to Lyrics for his own reasons and had also recorded tracks of his own. At the time, NDK didn't know this and wrote a diss on Kon' just for fun and let him listen to it. a few days later a response was waiting for NDK in an email, Kontroversy had arrived! NDK and Kontroversy began going back and forth with disses unto eachother for about a week, when they both recognized eachothers talent and decided to go for 20 tracks and call a truce, thus the "Good Friends, Better Enemies Mixtape" was Created. Not Long After, Kontroversy informed NDK of an unofficial Record Lable ran by Max Martinelli (who was currently attending the university of iowa... only 1 hour awayfrom NDK and Kontroversy) Kontroversy also informed NDK that he had sent Max sum tracks and Max Picked him up, NDK wanted the same, and proceeded to contact Max. he was blown away by what he heard and the next stage of NDK's career started (Nov. 05) a year later NDK Came to terms that it wasn't the place for him anymore and decided to leave " It basically came down to: i wanted to work and he didn't thats the real story... if u hear otherwise.. you are being lied to... real talk.." With a vast knowledge of how buisness should and shouldnt be approched, a superior Grasp of lyricism that over shadows even the most well known and respected wordsmiths, a vicious flow and a goal, NDK released 2 mixtapes 3 months apart (PROJECT: Unrivaled (Available Now) Deadly Venom (Available Now) and in Feb of 08 he released his Album 12/21/12. also in Feb 08 NDK was offered a recording contract with 101st Airbourne Productions out of Milwaukee Wisconsin. NDK felt there was alot of unprofessionalism coming from their end and decided to be the same way and ripped the contract in half and left. in Mar. 08 NDK annouced "Never Faded" a free mixtape with 40+ tracks of all new material. No release date has been annouced in Apr. 08 NDK joined forces once again with Kontroversy, RIPLAK and Soultru to assemble The Takeover (myspace.com/qctakeover) a group meant to do just that, they released a free fan assembled mixtape which you can DL from their myspace
