50th Honor Flight Named After Place of Origin in Quad Cities

MOLINE, ILLINOIS (September 20, 2019) — Ridgecrest Village proudly presents their sponsorship of the 50th Honor Flight of the Quad Cities. The flight is set for takeoff on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from the Quad Cities Municipal Airport and head to Washington DC. Upon arrival, the veterans and guardians will be taken to different memorials where their service has been honored.

Iowa's Unemployment Rate Remains at 2.5 Percent

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 20, 2019) — Iowa’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained at 2.5 percent in August. The state’s jobless rate was 2.4 percent one year ago. The US unemployment rate remained at 3.7 percent in August.

Empower Rural Iowa Broadband Grant Applications Now Being Accepted

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 20, 2019) — The Offices of Governor Kim Reynolds and the Chief Information Officer announced that the application-window for the Empower Rural Iowa Broadband Grant Program has officially opened, making $5 million dollars in grant-funds available for communication service-providers who expand high-speed Internet service into unserved areas in Iowa. The application window will be open from September 20, 2019 through October 18, 2019.
