River Roots Live is finally here! Jam out to 14 amazing acts including Alanna Royale, Luke Bell, Booker T. Jones and three of our very own QC acts. Friday night's headliner is Guitar Army, a trio made up of Joe Robinson, Lee Roy Parnell and Robben Ford. Sing your little heart out to their hits like "Shattered" and "That was a Crazy Game of Poker," from Saturday night's headliner, O.A.R.

You can even support the young musicians of the QCA at the Jr. Jam Tent. Be sure to stop at one of the Ribfest vendors for some world-class BBQ. After the festivities are over Saturday night, boogie on down to Ragged Trotter for even more weekend tunes! Weekend passes are still for sale! Get 'em now because they'll be more at the gate.

Bucktown's Final Friday this month, revolves around wood artisans and REVIVE II. The participants of REVIVE II will receive their awards tomorrow evening, while local wood turners Joe Meirhaeghe and Steve Sinner 's work is highlighted. Both of the artists discovered their talents at a young age and went on to turn their love, into their life's work.

Figge is holding their own mini Sundance Film Festival next Thursday. Urban Exposure is a program for student filmmakers and actors to create original films. If you're craving more talented young musicians, Central High School's marching band will be playing Music on the Levee Wednesday, at Le Claire Park.

Last week's craft explosion is continuing for the Phoenix and Sippi's. Grab the gals and some drinks for Vino Van Gogh, either tonight or Saturday. But, if painting isn't your forte, go to the Food Hub for a crash course in crochet.
