Saturday, February 17, 2 p.m.

Ohnward Fine Arts Center, 1215 East Platt Street, Maquoketa IA

Presenting a glorious musical trek through some of its genres' best-loved tunes, the musicians of Faith’s Journey invite audiences to Maquoketa's Ohnward Fine Arts Center on February 17 for Absolutely County, Definitely Gospel, with two decades worth of adored songs such as "Eastern Gate" and "Coal Miner's Daughter" sure to send patrons' spirits soaring.

With this Branson hit renowned for its blend of great music, fun, and talent, Absolutely Country, Definitely Gospel delivers a heart- and soul-warming journey through some of country and gospel music's finest compositions. When the show begins, in the first half, audiences will enjoy classic country songs such as "On The Road Again," "Coal Miner's Daughter," "Kiss an Angel," and many more. Lee Hendrix, the pianist for the group, will also be performing the Floyd Cramer classic "Last Date," with the first half of the show climaxing with Jonathan and the concert event's full cast performing a moving tribute to our veterans, police officers, firefighters, and those that serve our country and its citizens. And the second half, as the show's title suggests, is devoted to Southern gospel music, with "Because He Lives," "What a Day That Will Be," "One Day at a Time" and "I'll Fly Away” just a few of the classics on the lineup.

Absolutely Country, Definitely Gospel won the citation of "Gospel Show of the Year" in 2021 and Lee Hendrix, the piano player for Mickey Gilley, won "Keyboard Player of the Year" in 2022. Over its many years of professional performance, Faith's Journey has appeared on stages big and small, from local churches to one of America's most popular theme parks, Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. The group has also played on radio and TV stations throughout the United States, and has amassed a number of charting songs.
