COAL VALLEY, ILLINOIS (August 18, 2022) — Join us at the Niabi Zoo this Saturday (August 20) for our exciting Train Ambush. Help the zoo raise money to bring new and exciting exhibits to the Zoo by heading off the local “Paws” at the pass! Fun and educational for the whole family. All proceeds will be used to help support improvements at Niabi. Western style kerchiefs, Conductor’s hat, and magic zoo wrist bands are available for the ride with a donation!
Please come out and join us this Saturday and be on the look-out for Niabi Bobby. The train has never been this much fun!

Effective opening day, April 18, tickets pre-ordered online by 9AM, the day of your visit, will be discounted while tickets purchased at the zoo admission booth will be a few dollars more. Our new process will allow us to staff more effectively for expected attendance, ensuring the best experience for you and while taking care of our team.

The Niabi Zoo and Forest Preserves Foundation (NZFP) is looking for passionate, motivated community leaders to join our board. The Niabi Zoo foundation, as the sole official fundraising arm of the Niabi Zoo, plays a leading role in the growth and expansion of the Zoo as it moves towards realization of its masterplan. Board members will work closely with Zoo staff while planning fundraising events both on and off Zoo grounds.
