ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (July 5, 2023) — Rock Island Art Guild officers for the 2023-2025 term were elected at their Annual Meeting on June 21, 2023: President Robert Lelonek; Vice President Elizabeth Russell; Treasurer Holly Sparkman and Secretary Sherry Maurer.

The Rock Island Art Guild has been in existence since 1955 as a group of volunteers who sponsor regional artists and fine arts education. The Art Guild sponsors a biennial regional fine arts exhibition in conjunction with the Figge Art Museum and provides funding for art to the Rock Island-Milan School District through the Rock Island Education Foundation. The group also supports other area art education programs and provides art awards to high-school students through Quad City Arts. In the coming year, the group will begin to fund art awards for students at colleges in the Quad Cities.

The next Art Guild meeting is scheduled for September 18, 2023. For more information about the Rock Island Art Guild and membership visit rockislandartguild.org.
