Annual duck hatching event includes hatching observation, duckling education and photo opportunities with Peter Rabbit

MOLINE, Illinois  – Officials at the John Deere Pavilion in Moline, Ill. will soon host one of the attraction’s most popular family events - the annual duck hatching April 13-15.

This year’s event offers an expanded hatching observation and education program with informational sessions conducted at the top of every hour. In addition to observing duck eggs hatching and ducklings playing and swimming, families will be treated to brief presentations that will help children learn about ducklings. Children can ask questions and will have an opportunity to pet a duckling.

“This is an incredibly fun event for us and our guests,” said Brigitte Tapscott, manager of the John Deere Pavilion. “Not only are the ducklings cute to see, but it is a fantastic educational opportunity for children to watch the process as it happens. Our crowd for this event grows each year and we are excited about the additional education component we’ve built in. It’s not something you get to see every day and we love bringing this opportunity to life at the Pavilion.”

In addition to the duck hatching, Peter Rabbit will also be on site for photo opportunities with children and families. The John Deere Pavilion’s duck hatching event takes place April 13 – 15, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The John Deere Pavilion offers free admission, is open to the public year-round, and welcomes group tours. The John Deere Store, located adjacent to the Pavilion, stocks a large and unique selection of the latest officially-licensed John Deere products including clothing, toys, books, and collectibles. The Pavilion will be closed for Easter on Sunday, April 16. For more information about the John Deere Pavilion, Store, and other John Deere Attractions, visit us online at www.VisitJohnDeere.com.
