Melissa the Medium at the Ohnward Fine Arts Center -- October 21.

Saturday, October 21, 7 p.m.

Ohnward Fine Arts Center, 1215 East Platt Street, Maquoketa IA

A Dubuque native who enjoys bringing comfort, healing, and honesty to those in need. Melissa Culbertson - better known by her stage moniker Melissa the Medium - will speak to and with audience members at Maquoketa;'s Ohnward Fine Arts Center on October 21, the professional counselor beloved for employing her Christian background as guidance while she delivers messages from the spirit world.

Culbertson was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa, and ever since she was a young girl, Melissa has experienced the presence of spirit in many ways. During her childhood, she had many profound experiences with spirit and her psychic ability, yet it wasn't until later in life when she fully understood what that ability was and how it could be used in guiding those in need. With the many paths that Melissa has walked in life also leading her to become a self-help coach, many people have found strength, stability, and love for themselves taking Melissa's courses. She also instructs Reiki, sound healing, and grief classes.

Melissa has given numerous live readings on the radio, and has also shepherded many large group public events giving messages, providing a beacon of light in the chaos. The first half of her live Melissa the Medium presentation will involve readings. Upon arriving at the Ohnward Fine Arts Center, attendees are invited to place their name in a basket from which Melissa will draw names and invite participants onto the stage for a reading. The second half of the program, meanwhile, will find Melissa engaging in a question-and-answer session with members of the audience.

Melissa the Medium will take the Maquoketa stage on October 21, admission to the 7 p.m. event is $25, and patrons must be 16 years of age to attend. For more information and tickets, call (563)652-9815 and visit OhnwardFineArtsCenter.com.
