Welcome to a new feature, one that we plan to use to both showcase and prompt artwork. Periodically, we'll publish the photography of Scott A. McMeekan and ask readers to respond to his work in some form. We'll publish the best responses alongside the original photograph in a future issue.

There are few requirements. You're welcome to use whatever medium you'd like to craft a response - the written word, a painting, another photograph. Please submit entries by Friday, November 19, to jeff@rcreader.com (with "photo response" in the subject line) or to Photo Response, River Cities' Reader, 532 W. 3rd St., Davenport IA 52801.
