Giordano Dance Chicago, a high-energy, high-impact dance company, will visit the Quad Cities for a week of residency outreaches through Quad City Arts’ Visiting Artist Series. Giordano Dance Chicago will present at 15 Quad City area schools for elementary and junior high students.

Giordano Dance Chicago is America's original jazz dance company, captivating audiences worldwide with dynamic performances and the diversity and wide appeal of its repertoire. The mission of Giordano Dance Chicago is to create and present new and innovative jazz dance choreography, and to bring this American art form to audiences and students of all ages and from all ethnic backgrounds.

The company’s full-length public concert will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at the Allaert Auditorium, Galvin Fine Arts Center, at St. Ambrose University, Davenport. Tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for faculty/staff/alumni/senior citizens, $11 for non-SAU students, and $12 for groups. SAU students with current valid student ID are free. The 2017-2018 season of the Visiting Artist Series runs through April 2018 and features nine performing arts residencies, including a storyteller, musical ensembles, and a jazz dance company.

Additional support comes from donated lodging from local hotels and service fees paid by school districts, Parent Teacher Associations, service clubs, and businesses.
