Local artists will present a check for $1,700 to Quad City Arts’ Metro Youth Apprenticeship Program at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Quad City Arts’ Rock Island Gallery, 1715, 2nd Ave., Rock Island.  This donation comes from the proceeds of the recent sale of Dean Timmermann’s drawings.

Giordano Dance Chicago, a high-energy, high-impact dance company, will visit the Quad Cities for a week of residency outreaches through Quad City Arts’ Visiting Artist Series. Giordano Dance Chicago will present at 15 Quad City area schools for elementary and junior high students.

Metro Arts Apprenticeship Program concludes with showcase, ribbon cutting

Later this week, Quad City Arts will celebrate the 18th annual Metro Arts program with an apprentice showcase and ribbon cutting for the mural at Fejervary Learning Center, Davenport.

Quad City Arts’ 2016-2017 Visiting Artist Series concludes with string trio Simply Three in residence for two weeks, beginning Monday, April 3.

Comprised of violinist Glen McDaniel, cellist Zack Clark, and bassist Nicholas Villalobos, Simply Three blends innovative arrangements of classical music with today’s popular songs.
