DES MOINES, IOWA (October 31, 2024) — Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird has announced the Biden-Harris Department of Justice called the State in an attempt to pressure Iowa into letting noncitizens illegally vote.

Attorney General Bird released the following response:

DES MOINES, IOWA (October 29, 2024) — Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird is opposing the Biden-Harris Department of Justice (DOJ)’s last-minute effort to force Virginia to re-add self-identified noncitizens onto the State’s voter rolls — in violation of both federal and Virginia law.
