MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (June 12, 2025) While most Monmouth College seniors were busy tackling capstone projects and planning post-graduate life, business majors Jackson Bergren and Kyler Pessman found themselves with something else on their hands: time. With Bergren finishing his Fighting Scots football career and both friends entering their final semester, they began filling the void in an unconventional way - by making funny videos.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (June 5, 2025) — Monmouth College will soon be looking back fifty years as it hosts a golden anniversary reunion of its Class of 1975. Part of the annual Golden Scots Celebration, which brings alumni back to campus from 45 years ago and beyond, the reunion will take place June 5-8.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (May 19, 2025) On a Sunday afternoon that lived up to its name, 1972 graduate Lon Helton gave the main address to the 142 members of Monmouth College's Class of 2025 at his alma mater's 168th annual Commencement Exercises, which was held on the Wallace Hall Plaza in beautiful 65-degree weather.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (May 12, 2025) — There have been popes for about 2,000 years. For the first time ever, one was born less than 250 miles from Monmouth.

That is one of many notable facts about former Cardinal Robert Prevost, who last week was named the successor to the late Pope Francis. The Rev Dr John Huxtable, who serves as Monmouth College's chaplain, weighed in with a few opinions on Prevost, who has taken the name Pope Leo XIV.
