The chemistry professor was recently named to chair one of Monmouth College's six new academic schools, the School of Health and Natural Sciences. That, alone, would be the highlight of any given academic year for a professor.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (October 9, 2025) — During the summer, Monmouth College announced the creation of six academic schools to better align its strengths and create new opportunities for collaboration and student success. This week, after a competitive process, the college announced the appointment of the schools' six inaugural chairs:

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (October 2, 2025) — Monmouth College has been awarded a highly competitive TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) grant from the US Department of Education, totaling $1.3 million over five years. This funding will allow Monmouth to expand its commitment to supporting students who are first-generation, low-income, or have disabilities as they work toward earning their Bachelor's degree.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (September 29, 2025) — Monmouth College student Taylor Whitaker has already built a strong foundation for a future career in politics and public service.

The senior from Germantown Hills, Illinois, recently added another layer to her résumé when she was named a 2025-2026 Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact.
