Announcing the Greater Amana Area Art Show

The Amana Arts Guild plans an Open House for Thursday July 9, 5-7:00pm for the start of the Greater Amana Area Art Show exhibit.  This show and sale will feature recent works in all media by local area artists.  Visit with the artists and view the new art work.  This exhibit will be at the Arts Guild Gallery from July 9 through September 7.

The Amana Arts Guild is open daily except closed on Tuesdays.  Gallery hours are 10:30am - 4:30pm.  Sunday hours are 11am - 4pm.  The Arts Guild is located one block north of Hwy 220 in High Amana.

Firecracker 4th Antique Show

Celebrate the 4th of July in the Amana Colonies in Amana, Iowa  and come to the Firecracker 4th Antique Show . Our 9th annual show has grown even bigger with two buildings full of nationally recognized dealers, and outdoor vendors. Our show has two full days of antiquing fun,......July 3rd 8am to noon is early bird for $3.00 and noon to 5 pm is FREE. Then on July 4th from 8 am to 3 pm , also free. On site parking (FREE) with terrific shopping, great food, and of course, Amana Colonies hospitality.
The Firecracker 4th Antique Show is located on the Amana R V Park grounds in Amana, Iowa. The fields offer a great location to come and camp or  bring your R V. Antiquers will love the quality selection from Americana, primitives, folk art,toys, farm and ag collectibles, oil and gas signs and petroleum, advertising, country store, quilts, native American,postcards, lightning rods and balls, children's collectibles, vintage and more!!!!! Shop in air-conditioned comfort, and enjoy the Amana Meat Markets famous brats, and BBQ  as well as PIE!!!!!!!! Come see for yourself and while in Amana, shop all 10 shops!
There are three shows in eastern Iowa the weekend of the 4th of July.  The Lincoln Highway Show in Mt. Vernon Iowa on the 4th and Iowa City 4th of July show also on the 4th.Come celebrate the fun, shop Amana on the 3rd, and all of the shops, then on the 4th hit the other two shows and then come back  to Amana for lunch of brats and pie!!!!  and more shopping. All of us at the Firecracker 4th want to thank Sandy and the late Jerry Hanson for the 33 years they had Hanson's Grove as a premier antique show. Many  customers were saddened when Hanson's Grove closed last year, but we are pleased to say  that many of the dealers have joined us at the Firecracker 4th Antique Show and look forward to seeing all of our old friends and we welcome new friends to experience a quality show at the Firecracker 4th Antique Show.

AMERICAN PICKERS To Film In Amana Colonies, Iowa

Amana Colonies is excited to welcome Mike Wolfe, Frank Fritz and Antique Archeology to the area. The team will film episodes of their hit series AMERICAN PICKERS throughout Iowa. Filming will begin next month.

AMERICAN PICKERS is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique 'picking' on History. This hit show follows two of the most skilled pickers in the business, Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, as they embark on an epic road trip across the U.S. in search of America's most valuable antiques from motorcycles, classic cars and bicycles to one-of-a-kind vintage memorabilia. Mike and Frank are on a mission to recycle America, restore forgotten relics to their former glory, and learn a thing or two about American history along the way.

Filming is scheduled to start next month.  AMERICAN PICKERS is looking for leads and would love to explore what you may have. They are on the hunt for interesting characters with interesting and unique items.  Some of what they look for: vintage bicycles, toys, unusual radios, movie memorabilia, advertising, military items, folk art, vintage musical equipment, vintage automotive items, early firefighting equipment, vintage clothing, pre-50's western gear.

AMERICAN PICKERS is produced by Cineflix Productions for History. New episodes air Wednesdays at 9pm ET on History.

AMANA, Iowa - Attention all American Pickers fans! The Amana's Firecracker 4th Antique Show is back with over 45 quality antique vendors from throughout the Midwest! The event begins on Thursday, July 3rd, early birds only from 8:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. for just $3.00 admission, 12:00-6:00 p.m. admission is FREE.

On Friday, July 4th the event is open again from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and admission is FREE. Browse in the air-conditioned comfort of the Amana Colonies RV Park and Event Center- 3890 C Street, Amana, IA. Two buildings, the Morton & Pioneer Buildings, full of antique treasures!

Dealers specializing in Americana, Folk Art, Toys, Textiles, Holiday, Tools, Mid Century, Red Wing, Advertising, Pottery, Native American, Primatives, Kitchen, and oil & gas metal signs. Come to shop and learn the history of so many unique items.

While you're at it, shop all ten Amana Colonies Antique Shops in the villages and attend two other Antique Shows in the area on July 4th. It's an Antique Lover's dream!

BBQ Beef sandwiches & Brats from the Amana Meat Shop and Homemade Pies from the Ox Yoke Inn Restaurant will be available for sale throughout the event.
