Always great entertainment at the Market. You can find Jim playing on the grass by the playground.

Don't forget the indoor market where you will find more local and homemade goodness.

From everyone at the Freight House Farmers' Market, we would like to take a moment and thank our friends, families, neighbors and especially, our customers.  Without your support this market would not be a success. We thank you for you support and patronage.  We look forward to a better and brighter new year and we hope that we will prosper together.

Quad Cities Ballet Folkloric Performing Saturday.

The Hispanic children dancers that performed for us last year are back again this Saturday and will perform at 10:45 and 11:30 on the main stage.  Last year this troupe did a full presentation of their historic spanish dances complete with colorful dresses for the senoritas and handsome suites for the seniors.  Come early and enjoy the market, its likely to be a full house like last year.

You know we have great fruits and vegetables, but did you know, we have wonderful bakers in the market also? Take a look at these fresh and delicious loaves of bread.  You can find them from several vendors both inside and out.

The Market has some of the most discriminating shoppers in the Quad Cities.  Here is Executive Chef Jeremy Charles from Duck City Bistro selecting produce for his dinner service.  Chef Jeremy says he likes to attend the Market and select his produce personally to get the best quality for his customers.  Chef Jeremy takes great pride in his high quality culinary art and starting with high quality produce enhances his skill.

Eat healthy! Eat buffalo meat! How? Come to the market and talk to the producers.  We have all kinds of fresh meats, eggs, cheese, oils and of course produce.  You can try fresh grilled bratwurst and know what you are eating.

Shoppers get to chose from some  of the best products that the QCA has to offer and the money they spend stays right here in the community.  As a not for profit corporation, the Freight House Farmers Market, gives back to the community through educational programs, free entertainment, healthy living choices and by operating a clean, safe and fun Market.  Come and enjoy!

May 11th is the Outdoor Market Grand Reopening celebration.

We will be open this Saturday May 4th, however the weather has changed our festivities to May 11th.

Our outdoor vendors have been busy all spring planting, transplanting and potting all of your favorite items.  We have planned a special grand reopening of the outdoor market with lots of activities and great healthy food choices.  Kevin Boyd a local musician will be on the main stage, so grab a coffee and muffin or a full lunch and sit for awhile and enjoy his easy listening style.

Or, for some excitement, enjoy the marching band play as you select from the great variety of fresh fruits, nuts, vegetables, dairy and meats that the market offers every week all summer long.  You can finish all of you weekly shopping right hear and have some fun while doing it.

Mothers day is fast approaching , and it is the perfect time to start your own garden, whether a flower garden or a vegetable garden you can find all your bedding plants right here.  Wouldn't mom enjoy a nice hanging basket that flowers all summer, get one for her and one for yourself also.

Bring the kids; let them enjoy life like a farmer!

Millers Petting Zoo at the market on Saturday May 11th!
The kids really enjoy the farm animals up close and touchable!  Many vendors encourage the kids to sample and learn about fruits and vegetables that they don't normally eat.  A great opportunity to eat, learn and have fun for the whole family!

This week we are very lucky to have two great performers sharing the stage at the market, both have been on stage before and have delighted the shoppers at the market with their easy listening singer songwriter style. Dave Maxwell and Kevin Boyd will share the stage this Saturday October 27th. So the entertainment at the market is doubling this week! And don't forget that we have the River City Marching Band performing between sets with their New Orleans style FUN! Bring the whole family and laugh, dance, dine and celebrate with us the end of summer and the start on the winter market! Yes it is true, we are a year round market both indoors and outdoors.
