DES MOINES, IOWA (December 16, 2020) Governor Kim Reynolds received the latest recommendations from the Governor’s Empower Rural Iowa initiative task forces at the Iowa Rural Development Council quarterly meeting. DES MOINES, IOWA (December 3, 2020)  Governor Kim Reynolds today announced the members of a new Computer Science Work Group created by a 2020 state law that for the first time requires Iowa’s 327 school districts and 116 accredited nonpublic schools to offer computer science instruction.

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 1, 2020) Governor Kim Reynolds has announced the appointment of Josh Byrnes, currently general manager of the Osage Municipal Utilities, to serve as a Board Member to the Iowa Utilities Board. Byrnes replaces Nick Wagner who had served in that role since 2013 and departed the IUB in July 2020. The appointment is effective December 14, 2020, and is subject to confirmation by the Iowa Senate.
