CHICAGO (Feb. 8, 2018) — Gov. Bruce Rauner today announced the availability of the official Bicentennial Craft Beer and tapped the first keg at Binny’s Beverage Depot Tasting Room in Lincoln Park. 

Hand of Fate Brewing Co. of Petersburg created the special birthday brew — 1818 Prairie State … Farmhouse Ale — which is being distributed statewide by Breakthru Beverage Illinois.

Flags to fly at Half-Staff from Sunrise, Feb. 15 until Sunset Feb. 18.

SPRINGFIELD (Feb. 14, 2018) — Gov. Bruce Rauner has directed all entities governed by the Illinois Flag Display Act to fly both the United States and Illinois state flags at half-staff in remembrance of Chicago Police Commander Paul R. Bauer.

FY19 budget to fund top priorities through expense control, cost shifts

SPRINGFIELD (Feb. 14, 2018) — Gov. Bruce Rauner today urged the Illinois General Assembly to make comprehensive pension reforms and use the savings to give the people of Illinois a nearly $1 billion tax break. The prompt came during the governor’s annual budget address to legislators where he laid out his fiscal plan for 2019.

Governor caps Catholic Schools Week with stop in Rock Island

ROCK ISLAND (Feb. 2, 2018) — With more than $45 million in donations and thousands of applications already having been submitted, the state’s new Invest in Kids program is off to a great start.

SPRINGFIELD (Feb. 6, 2018) — A new Quincy Veterans’ Home Water Management Task Force will meet next week to review a plumbing assessment report that were released today, Gov. Bruce Rauner said.

The governor created the task force after living at the home for a week in January.
