Amana (Sept 2, 2011) - Fasten your seat belts! The Old Creamery Theatre is taking off with its Fall farce, Boeing Boeing, on the Main Stage beginning Sept. 15.

It promises to be a bumpy ride as Bernard, a successful architect in Paris, juggles three flight attendant girlfriends. Bernard's elaborate planning to keep the women apart is no match for the newer, faster Boeing jet that lands all three women in town at the same time. You'll howl at the elaborate measures Bernard, his housekeeper - a sassy and reluctant accomplice - and his innocent friend Robert take to try and keep Bernard's three little secrets from bumping into one other.

Written by Marc Camoletti, translated by Beverley Cross and Francis Evans, Boeing Boeing won a 2008 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play. The cast consists of Jessica Bradish of Des Moines, John D. Smitherman of Philadelphia, Marquetta Senters of South Amana, Sean McCall of Marengo, Deborah Kennedy of East Amana and Jackie McCall of Marengo. Amana - Dinner and a show, what can be better? Especially if the dinner is a delicious buffet and the show a bittersweet love story performed by The Old Creamery Theatre Company at Fireside Winery, in rural Marengo.

Sounds too good to be true, but come Saturday July 23 at 6:30 pm, Fireside Winery will serve up a dinner buffet complete with assorted salads, shrimp scampi, bacon wrapped pork loin in a plum sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans with almonds and a mixedberry stack for dessert. The menu on Thursday, July 28 will consist of all of the above with chicken pasta carbonara and roast beef replacing shrimp scampi and pork loin as the entrees and mini cheesecakes will be the dessert.

The Old Creamery Theatre will take to the stage at 7:30 p.m. for Love Letters, a love story that traces the lifelong correspondence of Andrew and Melissa, two very different people who care deeply for one another. Their relationship spans decades and comes to life through their letters to one another. Love Letters features Tom Milligan and Deborah Kennedy of The Old Creamery Theatre.

The show opens Saturday June 18 at 1 p.m. on the Main Stage at 39 38th Ave., Amana and runs through July 2. Shows are at 1 p.m. on Saturdays, with weekday matinees at 10 a.m. on June 21, 23 and 29. Day cares and summer camp groups are welcome but matinees are filling up quickly, so call today.
