BETTENDORF, IOWA (September 10, 2019) — On September 12, approx 100 Veterans, including 2 WWII  and 13 Korean veterans, will travel to Washington DC to visit the monuments dedicated to their service and sacrifice. This is the 11th Honor Flight of the Quad Cities that area Hy-Vee stores have sponsored.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (September 9, 2019) — A scholar who has combined her research with service to others will help dedicate Monmouth College's Center for Civic and Social Change on September 14.

Dr Esther Ngumbi, an entomologist at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), who has founded organizations that empower farmers and youth in Kenya, will give the keynote address at the dedication of the center.
