DES MOINES, IOWA (April 2, 2019) — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts, and Missouri Governor Mike Parson will meet with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to get an updated assessment of flood-damage, a look ahead on the Missouri River outflow, and identify regional-solutions for flooding and levee repairs. Following the meeting, there will be a press conference open to credentialed members of the media.

WASHINGTON DC (April 2, 2019) — A new study released by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) finds greenhouse-gas emissions from corn-based ethanol are about 39 percent lower than gasoline. The study also states that when ethanol is refined at natural gas-powered refineries, the greenhouse-gas emissions are even lower, around 43 percent below gasoline.
