Gov. Reynolds Signs Bipartisn Opioid Bill Into Law

Gov. Kim Reynolds signed House File 2377 on Monday, a bipartisan piece of legislation she says represents a significant step forward in Iowa’s efforts to address the opioid epidemic. The governor signed the bill in front of overdose victims’ families, law enforcement, state and local officials and others at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque.

CHICAGO (May 17, 2018)— Gov. Bruce Rauner today moved to increase the participation of minority-owned businesses in the state procurement process. By Executive Order 18-07, he established the Illinois African American Fair Contracting Commission and made it possible for contracts to be cancelled if African-American participation goals are not being met.
