WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Joni Ernst, today released the following joint statement regarding the nomination of C.J. Williams to serve as a District Judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa based in Cedar Rapids.

Des Moines, IA – Governor Reynolds’ budget-busting revenue giveaways have caused massive cuts to critical services, and, now, evidence is mounting that these handouts haven’t even made an impact on Iowa’s economy or protected Iowa jobs.   

Rita Vargas, Scott County Recorder, received notice in the New Orleans Passport Center Newsletter informing the public of changes to the issuance of U.S. Passports. Beginning this month, passport applicants who have been certified as having a seriously delinquent federal tax debt totaling more than $50,000 (including interest and penalties) may be denied issuance of a U.S. passport and may have any currently valid U.S. passport revoked.

DAVENPORT, Iowa, February 9, 2018 – Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities announces the return of singer/songwriter Shawn Thomas who will be performing in the sanctuary of MCC QC. The concert will include songs from his latest album “Christ in My Life”.
