WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, sought clarification from Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller regarding his office’s ability to determine the value of reimbursement to the state necessary to make Iowa whole from EpiPen’s apparent misclassification under Medicaid’s Drug Rebate Program. In his letter, Grassley states, “significant concerns remain that Iowa may not receive proper reimbursements.”

Woodfest August 25-27 will attract woodcrafters of all types from throughout the Midwest.  The festival features ongoing demonstrations or you can shop for furniture, home and garden décor, toys, bowls, carvings, tools and more. 

Woodfest is known for handcrafted wood items, tools and equipment, demonstrations and sales, along with the opportunity to visit with regional and national woodcrafters and wood product vendors.

On June 15th the Scott County Sex Offender Task Force, along with members of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa Department of Corrections, the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations, the Bettendorf Police Department and the Davenport Police Department, conducted a sex offender compliance check operation. As of June 30th, the compliance check stats are as follows:

Number of Offenders Checked: 250

Number of Compliant Offenders: 234

Marquette Street in Davenport will be closed at the railroad tracks on 5th Street for work on the railroad tracks. Follow signed detours. Closure will begin Tuesday, July 11th; work is estimated to be complete Friday, July 14th.

DONAHUE, Iowa – A field day near Donahue, Iowa will share information about improving soil health to make farmland more productive, efficient and sustainable for the next generation.
