BIPARTISAN AMENDMENT WOULD SAVE UP TO 30,000 JOBS, PROTECT LATINO WORKERS

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (June 28, 2017) – Rep. Elizabeth Hernandez and members of the Latino Caucus and organized labor came together at the Capitol on Wednesday in support of a bipartisan effort authorizing table games at racetracks to salvage Illinois’ agribusiness economy, save 30,000 jobs and preserve the livelihood of thousands of Latino workers.

Terri Miller Claims Top Prize In ‘Easy Money’ Scratch Game

CLIVE, Iowa – A Davenport woman has claimed a $100,000 lottery prize.

Teresa “Terri” Miller claimed the last top prize of $100,000 available in the Iowa Lottery’s “Easy Money” scratch game.

Miller bought her winning ticket at Kwik Star Express, 4619 Brady St. in Davenport and claimed her prize Tuesday at the lottery’s regional office in Cedar Rapids.

SPRINGFIELD – Governor Bruce Rauner today released the following statement regarding the General Assembly’s budget negotiations:

“If the legislature fails to send a balanced budget package to my desk by Friday, we will have no choice but to keep them in session until they get the job done.”

She met with U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Rick Perry. The two talked about the importance of a diversified energy portfolio. Iowa has used its diversified energy portfolio to become a leader in biofuels and wind energy generation.
