MOLINE, ILLINOIS - The Black Box Theatre will open their doors for the first time with a concert by The Westbrook Singers on January 15, 2017 at 4:30 pm.  The theatre is located at 1623 - 5th Avenue in downtown Moline and was founded by David Miller and Lora Adams.

We are pleased to announce that at this mornings Scott County Organizational Meeting Supervisors W. Ken Beck and Tony Knobbe were sworn in as new Supervisors. 

WASHINGTON – Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa will be sworn in today for his seventh term as United States Senator. The Senate will convene at 11 a.m. (CT), noon (ET) for the swearing-in of new and re-elected senators. Vice President Biden will preside over the proceedings.

SPRINGFIELD – Governor Bruce Rauner today announced the 2017 recipients of the Order of Lincoln, which is the state’s highest honor for professional achievement and public service.

Chicago, Ill., January 3, 2017 – Feeding Illinois, the state association of food banks serving all 102 counties across Illinois, has announced the appointment of Matthew Coatar as its new Executive Director. He will assume responsibilities on January 3, 2017. Feeding Illinois coordinates and supports the efforts of member food banks serving Illinois, enabling them to better provide a healthy and adequate food supply to those in need.
