Six veterans from six different wars will each throw a first pitch at the River Bandits game tomorrow night for the AUSA Military Appreciation Night at Modern Woodmen Park. All military, active, Reserve, Guard, and veterans receive free tickets for the game courtesy of AUSA. Next week, Rhythm City Casino honors those who serve with a free breakfast with military ID.
Get those bikes ready Saturday, it's time for Cinco de Biko! Organized by Russell Construction, this casual bike ride raises funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Participants start in front of the Front Street Brewery at the Freight House and choose their path to five designated stops- Bent River Brewery, Great River Brewery, Rudy's Tacos, Rock Island Boat Club, or Front Street Brewery.
