Solar screens of Iowa opens its doors and stops the heat!

Solar Screens of Iowa, LLC opened for business earlier this month and is proud to offer business and residential customers Solar/Sun control products to provide comfort as well as saving on energy costs. Having worked as a commercial and residential Energy Consultant, Owner David Kuhlmann, wanted to provide the very best available products for considerably lower prices than that of the competition. Solar Screens of Iowa, LLC provides products from the leader in solar/sun fabrics (PHIFER SUNTEX).

David said "Our screens can save as much as 30% on air-conditioning and heating bills by preventing the radiant heat of the sun from striking and consequently penetrating window and door glass. This is extremely important in the process of conserving energy". He goes on to explain how the process works. "This is precisely what Sun Control Fabrics accomplish. They block 80%-90% of the sun's heat and light before reaching the glass of your windows. This means most of the sun's radiant energy that would normally penetrate a window, is blocked by Solar Screening."

Solar/Sun Control fabrics can also lower heating costs during the winter months and help keep interiors at a more constant temperature. A "blanket" of air is created between the screen and the window. This reduces the chilling effect on the area near the window. The screening will also reflect interior heat back into the area.

Phifer' Suntex is a fabric woven of extremely strong and durable vinyl-coated polyester yarns. The uniform weave design offers excellent outward visibility and good ventilation.

Shading is approximately 80% - 90%. Suntex solar screens are custom built to any size and they come in a choice of five earth tone colors.

Additionally, the screens come with a lifetime guarantee, protect against fading and sun rot, allow soft light and breezes to come through, reduces glare and are pet resistant. Expected return on investment/payback from energy savings is typically 6-12 months.

ImagePress Release from "A Hard Days Night in Galesburg" Committee Contact:  Joanne Sandy, Marketing Director (309) 337-6544FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEAugust 20, 2007 "A Hard Day's Night in Galesburg"A Beatles Tribute Festival

On September 8, 2007 a Beatles tribute festival entitled "A Hard Day's Night in Galesburg" will be held inviting all-ages to come and celebrate the music of the "Fab Four." Galesburg's first Beatles festival is sure to delight all current Beatles fans and recruit more Beatles fans when the "Rock and Roll Music" vibes out of the sound stage.

The day and night festival, held from noon to midnight in the 400 block (471 E. Main St.) of Downtown Galesburg, Ill., will be filled with entertainment to delight Beatles fans with the music that defined an era in time.

"A Hard Day's Night in Galesburg" will begin when area musicians perform their own versions of Beatles music from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The afternoon will also feature Beatles' sing-along cartoons, the 1965 Beatles Shea Stadium concert film, and a film of The Beatles last live concert performed at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on August 19, 1966. The films will be shown between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. at Galesburg's "jewel," The Orpheum Theatre, which is located nearby on 60 S. Kellogg St. in Downtown Galesburg, Ill.

The evening portion of "A Hard Day's Night in Galesburg" is devoted to the sights sounds of four celebrated Beatles tribute bands who will take the stage to perform their amazing renditions of songs The Beatles' wrote that charmed the world.

The Cavern Kittens, the first of our featured performers, are an all-girl Beatles tribute band who enjoy singing, dancing, and rocking out with high energy performances of the songs The Beatles played during their start in the early days of the Cavern Club in Liverpool, England. The Cavern Kittens will get the crowd purring with songs by the Beatles, the Supremes, Eddie Cochran, Elvis, Little Richard, and many more when their set begins at 5 p.m.

Following the Cavern Kittens at 6: 15 p.m. is The Beatles tribute band, Stockwood. Earning a first-place competition win at Chicago's Beatlefest last summer, and performing at the "Abbey Road on the River" Beatles tribute held annually in Kentucky, their accomplishments, like the Beatles' music, transcends time. With the band members' ages ranging from 10 to 14, Stockwood brings together amazing musical proficiency and vocal harmonies while performing the early Beatles' songs up to their "Rubber Soul" release.

Louise Harrison, sister of George Harrison of The Beatles will introduce the band she refers to as, "the very best four guys to play The Beatles." The Liverpool Legends, four talented musicians and actors hand-picked by Louise Harrison, will dazzle the audience when they take the stage at 7:45 p.m. wearing vintage "Sgt. Pepper" era attire and performing Beatles' songs from the "Sgt. Pepper" and "Abbey Road" period. Recreating the band that changed the face of music forever, the Liverpool Legends have earned an unprecedented first-year double award in 2006 when they were voted "Best New Show" and "Best Band" when starring in their first showcase in the Midwest entertainment capital of Branson, Mo., With precise attention to every musical detail, along with vintage instruments and special effects, the Liverpool Legends will make you feel like you are watching the real thing!

Playing from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m., The Cavern Beat will bring the evening back to the rocking years of The Beatles from their Liverpool days and some of the most memorable songs the "Fab Four" recorded in the early and mid-sixties. Replicating The Beatles' loud and clear vocal harmonies and playing the correct tempo, key, and chords, every Beatles song will remain accurate to the way you first heard them. Wearing vintage attire, and playing authentic instruments, The Cavern Beat will take the audience on a trip back in time to enjoy the humor, fun, and enthusiasm that can be experienced during their live shows.

Don't miss your chance to enjoy "A Hard Day's Night in Galesburg"! Relive the music of The Beatles performed by the best Beatles tribute bands in the Midwest. Our title sponsor for "A Hard Day's Night in Galesburg," Euclid Beverage, will serve Miller Light products during the event, plus a variety of area food vendors, merchandising tables, and 50/50 raffles, will also be featured.
