ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 29, 2023) — On February 13, 2023, the Rock Island City Council approved an agreement for the Quad Cities Chamber to manage the City’s downtown special service area (SSA) and provide place management services through the creation of the Rock Island Downtown Alliance (Downtown Alliance or RIDA). CLIVE, IOWA (March 29, 2023) — A Davenport woman has won a lottery prize of more than $59,000.

Stephanie Holt won a jackpot prize of $59,141 in the Iowa Lottery’s “Super 7s Progressive” InstaPlay game. She purchased her ticket at The Liquor Stop, 211 W 53rd St, Davenport, and claimed her prize Monday at the lottery’s Cedar Rapids regional office.

The Super 7s jackpot starts at $50,000 and increases with each ticket sold statewide until it is won.

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (March 28, 2023) — Former US Representative Richard A Gephardt will deliver this year's Monmouth College Commencement address.

Monmouth's 166th Commencement exercise will be at noon on Sunday, May 14, on the College's Wallace Hall Plaza. The rain site will be the Huff Athletic Center field house.

ROCKI ISLAND, ILLINOIS (March 28, 2023) — Augustana College's Jenny Lind Vocal Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Michael Zemek, will embark on a performance tour April 14-16 in Missouri and Iowa. They will also perform selections from their tour on April 29 on campus.

"Our program is titled 'And I Can Sing,' and it celebrates the joy of being able to sing together once again while seeking to understand the barriers and challenges we may encounter along the way," said Zemek.

DUBUQUE, IOWA (March 28, 2023) — Neil Berg’s widely-acclaimed 103 Years of Broadway, presented by the Dubuque Arts Council in cooperation with Heritage Center, will be performed at 7:30PM, Saturday, May 6, 2023, in John and Alice Butler Hall, Heritage Center, University of Dubuque.
