DES MOINES, IOWA (January 12, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds has announced her appointment of Blake Norman as a district judge in Judicial Election District 2A.

Norman, of Garner, Iowa, currently serves as the Hancock County Attorney. Norman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa and his law degree from the Drake University Law School with high honors.

BROOKINGS, SOUTH DAKOTA (January 12, 2023) — More than 3,200 students were recognized for their outstanding academic performance over the fall 2022 semester at South Dakota State University by being named to the dean's list.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI (January 12, 2023) — Karsyn Kuffler of Moline, Illinois, has been named to the Southeast Missouri State University Dean's List and President's List for academic achievement during the fall 2022 semester.

Students named to the list earned at least a 3.75 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale, completed at least twelve hours of standard graded credit, achieved no grade below a B, and received no failing grades in enrolled, credit/no credit, or pass/fail courses.

DES MOINES, IOWA (January 11, 2023) — Yesterday, Governor Kim Reynolds announced during her Condition of the State address a new $15 million round of funding targeted at growing Registered Apprenticeship (RA) programs across high-demand fields in health-care. The expanded Health Careers Registered Apprenticeship Program will support more programs that help Iowa meet the demand of its health-care workforce.
