DES MOINES, IOWA (June 20, 2022) — The Davenport Community School District was awarded a $3,700,848 competitive grant Thursday, June 9, as part of Governor Kim Reynolds’ new Teacher and Paraeducator Registered Apprenticeship Pilot Program to grow Iowa’s educator talent pipeline and support expansion of registered apprenticeships in schools across the state.

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 20, 2022) — State Treasurer Michael Fitzgerald celebrated 529 Day with a $529 College Savings Iowa contribution to one family in each Iowa county. The Koppes family was randomly chosen as the Muscatine County winner. "I'm elated to be giving a boost to Kaylee's education savings," said Fitzgerald. "All it takes is one contribution to get the ball rolling. Whether it is $25 or $529, every dollar saved is one that won't have to be borrowed later."

ELMHURST, ILLINOIS (June 17, 2022) — Nearly 900 Elmhurst University students were named to the Spring 2022 Dean's List. The Dean's List is composed of students who during the term concerned, attained a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher (out of a possible 4.00).
