DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 14, 2021) — Last month, residents of Crestwood Apartments in Davenport faced the acute stress of finding new housing after the complex was deemed unsafe to live in. For one individual, relief came through Open Door Crisis Assistance, a program of SAL Family and Community Services (SAL) dedicated to helping those in crisis access community resources.

MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE (September 13, 2021) -- Vince Taliaferro of Davenport, Iowa (52807), has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's summer 2021 Dean's List. Eligibility for the Dean's List requires that a student accumulate an academic grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5-3.699 and earn twelve credits for the term.

FAYETTE, IOWA (September 13, 2021) — Upper Iowa University (UIU) will host author Jan (Bennington) Van Buren at Fayette Campus Monday, September 20. As part of her visit, Van Buren will present a copy of her recently-completed book, "Susan Angeline Collins: With a Hallelujah Heart" to UIU and President William R Duffy II at 1PM at Alexander Dickman Hall.
