DES MOINES, IOWA (June 24, 2020)  The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Research Center released a survey with an update on the state of small business and the progress with federal loan programs. Twenty-seven percent of owners reported experiencing a significant or moderate increase in sales due to eased restrictions in the states.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must have taken 12 or more credit hours during the semester (a full-time class load) and have earned at least a 3.5 grade-point average while attending MCC classes in Marshalltown, at Iowa Valley Community College Grinnell, or online.

ROMEOVILLE, ILLINOIS (June 24, 2020) Just under 1,700 students were honored on the Lewis University Dean's List for the 2020 Spring Semester.

To be eligible for this honor, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours during the semester with a grade-point average of at least 3.5 and with no "D" or "F" grades.

The JUSTICE Act, which is cosponsored by Sen Chuck Grassley (R-IA), included bipartisan provisions to improve accountability and transparency in policing.

TROY, ALABAMA (June 24, 2020) Jess Jacobsen of Bettendorf, Iowa, has been named to the Provost's List at Troy University for the Spring Semester/Term 4 of the 2019/2020 academic year.

The Provost's List honors full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade-point average of at least 3.65.

DES MOINES, IOWA (June 24, 2020)  The State of Iowa has announced the closure of two Test Iowa sites this week. The Sioux County site will close later today when testing concludes at 6PM. A second site in Wapello County will close tomorrow, Wednesday, June 24, at 6PM. We are actively pursuing clinic sites in both counties and testing remains available through local health-care providers.
