Brakelite Films will be shooting a short film entitled The Vigilant One in the Cedar Rapids area on November 1, 2, 7, & 8.

Adam Orton, Producer, The Vigilant One announces that Brakelite Films is currently looking for actors to play the following parts:

1. Marie: Female, very pretty but "bookish", innocent (18-23 years old)

2. Demon: Male, tall, dark-haired, handsome with evil sex appeal (25-30 years old) Must be able to wear contact lenses.

Headshots and resume are very recommended. This is a non-pay shoot. Cast and crew will receive a copy of the finished film.

Applicants must be available the 1st and 2nd of November, and possibly the 7th and 8th. Transportation will not be provided.

The Vigilant One is a modern Greek tragedy about a god-like protector who falls in love with an ordinary girl.

This is a five minute, 16mm sync sound film being produced as a final project for writer/director and Columbia College student Adam Orton, who is a Cedar Rapids native. This will mark Adam's fifth film; the most recent being In the Silence (post-production), The Old Man's Road (Columbia's Take 1 Film Festival 2008), and Knights of Caemonshire (CRIFF 2008).
