January 10 and 11: Guys & Dolls and Mean Girls - Countryside Community Theatre. Seeking performers for summer productions of the musicals Guys & Dolls (running July 3 - 12) and Mean Girls (running July 24 - August 2). Be prepared to sing and read from scripts. January 17 and 18: Cabaret - Quad City Music Guild. Seeking performers for Kander & Ebb's legendary musical set in the nightclub scene of 1929 Berlin, running April 10 - 19, directed by Luke Vermeire. Prepare 16-32 bars of a song that best suits your voice and desired roles; songs from the show are welcome, but not necessary. Please bring sheet music for the accompanist, as no recorded music or acapella singing will be allowed. Be prepared to dance and read from the script. Callbacks Sunday, January 18, if needed. January 23 and 24: The Secret Garden - The Spotlight Theatre. Seeking performers for the Tony-winning adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's book, running April 10 - 19, directed by Noah Hill. Prepare 16-32 bars of a musical-theatre piece that compliments the style of the show; an accompanist will be provided, so please be sure to mark your sheet music so that it is easy to read. You may also bring in a track to sing along with if that is more comfortable; we will have a Bluetooth speaker available. Auditionees must be at least 12 years old at the time of auditions. Rehearsals run Monday through Thursday from 6-8:30pm beginning February 9. The Spotlight Theatre (1800 Seventh Avenue, Moline IL). June 18: The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition - Ohnward Fine Arts Center. Seeking student actors from ages eight (or going into 2nd grade) to 18 for the classic based on L. Frank Baum's book, running July 25 and 26, directed by Richard Hall. The cost for kids to participate is $50; for families with more than one child the cost will be $50 for first child, $25 for second, and $15 for child number three and more.
