CORDOVA, Illinois (March 14, 2016) - The world's largest automotive manufacturer show is making their inaugural appearance at Cordova International Raceway (CIR) and it is less than three months away. This year's Super Chevy Show heads to CIR with the history and prestige of TEN: The Enthusiast Network with full coverage from Super Chevy Magazine. The May 21 - 22, 2016 event brings together Chevy enthusiasts from around the country to celebrate their favorite manufacturer.
"Cordova International Raceway is honored to be one of the few  places to host this premier event for the racers, fans and Chevy enthusiasts. The original Super Chevy Show is hands down the premiere national manufacturer's event in the country," said Dan Driscoll, General Manager of Cordova International Raceway. "This event offers something for all members of the family, with intense drag racing, car show, swap meet and Pro Shows all Super Chevy style," Driscoll added.
The weekend event starts on Friday with Test & Tune at 6 p.m. Saturday's action includes time trials at 11 a.m., eliminations and the much anticipated Pro Show with the Midwest Super Stock Mafia,  Nostalgia Gassers, Nostalgia Pro Stock and the Chevy Rebellion. The prestigious car show kicks off on Saturday with a Show & Shine Festival of Cars featuring Specialty Awards and an opportunity to be featured in Super Chevy Magazine. The midway includes the best in new Chevy aftermarket performance parts and a gigantic swap meet for those hard-to-find restoration treasures throughout the weekend.
Racing action continues on Sunday as well with time trials starting at 9:30 a.m. followed by eliminations, the Pro Show and the continuation of the car and truck show. The Super Chevy Show closes out with the coveted Best in Class Awards and Super Chevy Magazines Editor Awards.
